Membership of the DTAA
The DTAA welcomes applications from new members at all times.

Annual membership subscription renewals are due on July 1 every year.
To join please use our online membership system.
(Note: you will need to create a Currinda Profile if you do not already have one.)
If you are unable to use the on-line membership system, a hard copy membership form is available here.
Renewing members who have no changes to their details can make a payment to DTAA using the details on the Payment page.
There are six categories of DTAA membership.
1. Student Member
Concession price for people studying full time only, or part-time students with no other income.
Membership fee $50.00 per year.
2. General Member
Any person with an interest in dance movement therapy.
Membership fee $60.00 per year.
3. Overseas Member
Membership fee covers cost of journal and postage only (no GST included)
Overseas Professional Membership fee $95.00 per year.
Overseas Provisional Professional Membership fee $75.00 per year.
Overseas Associate and General Membership fee $60.00 per year.
4. Associate Member
An Associate Member has completed an appropriate amount of dance movement therapy training, but not reached the level of requirement for Provisional Professional Membership. Some Associate Members may be in the process of working towards Professional status, whilst others may opt to continue to work under other professional titles, using therapeutic dance within the context of their work.
Associate Membership fee $60.00 per year.
5. Provisional Professional Member
A Provisional Professional Member has completed a recognised DMT training course to an approved level and has accumulated at 80 hours of practice experience with at least 20 hours of supervision, is currently in supervised practice and is working towards Professional Membership.
Provisional Professional Membership (within Australia) fee $85.00 per year.
6. Professional Member
A Professional Member has completed a recognised DMT training course to an approved level and has accumulated at least 250 hours of clinical experience with at least 70 hours of supervision. This is the level of membership that the association requires for a practitioner to call themselves a dance movement therapist.
Professional Membership fee (within Australia) $200.00 per year. Members at this level are eligible to join the PACF register.
