Masters of Creative Arts Therapy (Drama or Dance Movement Therapy), University of Melbourne, Australia.
The University of Melbourne’s new Masters in Creative Arts Therapy (Drama or Dance Movement specialisations) is offered as a blended learning (on-line and intensives) degree in 2021, making it suitable for study from anywhere in Australia. The IDTIA has trained dance movement therapists since 1989 and has run courses at Introductory, Foundation and Advanced Clinical Training levels. The Teaching Faculty, all experienced professional dance movement therapists and teachers currently practising in their respective fields, are graduates of the IDTIA Advanced program who received their training from American dance movement therapist and international educator, Dr Marcia Leventhal PhD CMA ADTR.

Diploma in Dance Movement Therapy-Dance Therapy Training Aotearoa, New Zealand
Our programme has been empowering students to become Dance Movement Therapists since 2014. Our courses support individuals from diverse backgrounds to explore the transformative and healing potential of dance and movement, enabling them them to become skilled, empathic Dance Movement Therapists. Our training is experiential and flexible, utilising current DMT practice & tools to develop embodied skills and understanding through a person centred framework. This is supported by a strong theoretical base, and is delivered by both local and International teachers who are practicing Dance Therapists and experts in the field of DMT. Our Diploma meets the DTAA requirements for professional membership, enabling graduates to register and practice as a DMT after completing the course.
The two year, part time programme is offered in either online via live video teaching or in person in Auckland. An Introduction to DMT 2-day course is also offered as a one off workshop (online or in person in October/November each year) for those who wish to find out more about DMT or before choosing to apply for the Diploma.
