★ DMT Experience
Dr Sally Denning qualified in DMT in 1993 and completed her Master in 2003 and a research-based PhD in DMT in 2016. She has been working professionally as a DMT since 1993 and her work has included working with children and families, children with special needs, children in out of home care, foster carers, adults with depression, adults and children who have experienced sexual abuse/harmful sexual behaviour, adults with dementia.
Sally has a private practice in Castlemaine and conducts workshops in DMT across Australia. Sally is a part-time lecturer in the Masters of Play Therapy at Deakin University and Clinical Supervisor Lead for play therapy supervisors.
Description

Dr Sally Denning is a highly qualified Dance Movement Therapist (DMT), Counsellor, and Clinical Supervisor. She is a registered supervisor with PACFA, APPTA, and APTA, and serves as Clinical Supervisor Lead for the supervision of supervisors in Deakin University’s Master of Play Therapy program.

Sally is known for building strong, collaborative relationships with supervisees and brings an embodied, humanistic perspective to every session. Her approach is deeply informed by polyvagal theory and an understanding of complex developmental trauma, emphasizing embodied knowledge, reflective practice, and personal growth.

With over 20 years of clinical experience and a reputation for fostering meaningful connections, Sally offers supervision that supports both emerging practitioners and seasoned professionals in their ongoing development.
