★ DMT Experience
I adopt a reflective approach that integrates both embodied and verbal inquiry to explore and understand the client’s lived experience. Through embodied inquiry, I engage elements such as movement, breath, sound, and witnessing to access and deepen awareness of the client's internal state.

My practice is grounded in a multifaceted framework, primarily informed by Polyvagal-informed Dance Movement Therapy (DMT), as well as Humanistic and Existential theories. Polyvagal-informed DMT offers a compassionate, physiology-based perspective that recognizes the shared human experience at the core of our nervous system responses.
Description

I specialize in adult and adolescent mental health, with particular expertise in psychiatric disorders, women’s mental health, post-partum depression, substance misuse, and complex trauma, including trauma experienced by adult survivors of childhood abuse.

I have developed and facilitated movement therapy programs for a range of settings, including community-based groups and women’s health retreats. My clinical experience includes extensive work delivering Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) sessions within both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric hospital programs.

Academically, I served as a lecturer at Wesley Institute for five years, where I taught in the Graduate Diploma of Dance Movement Therapy. I served as a Lecturer at the IKON Institute of Australia, where I taught Dance Movement and Embodied Arts.

In my private Dance Movement Therapy practice, I work primarily with individuals with histories of complex trauma. My approach is deeply informed by ongoing professional development in trauma treatment, with a focus on the body as a primary resource for healing.

I am passionate about the relationship between movement and healing, and I continue to explore this connection through both experiential and academic research. I offer individual and group Dance Movement Therapy sessions.
