Description

Emma Wilson is a Registered Dance Movement Therapist (Prov. Prof. DMT)  based in North Brisbane who supports people to enhance wellbeing and connection through movement. Her practice includes working with individuals and groups living with neurodegenerative conditions such as dementia and Parkinson’s, using movement, rhythm, and creative expression to support communication, coordination, and emotional wellbeing.

She also facilitates creative movement sessions across the lifespan in community, educational, and mental health settings, including programs for people from migrant and culturally diverse backgrounds. These sessions focus on wellbeing, resilience, and social connection, offering supportive spaces for participants to move at their own pace, explore creativity, and experience the benefits of shared movement.

Emma’s approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive, inviting each individual to reconnect with their body and discover new ways to express, relate, and restore balance in daily life.

Emma is currently completing a Masters of Creative Arts Therapy (Dance Movement Therapy) at the University of Melbourne.
