Melody, PhD, is a registered Dance/Movement Therapist and Clinical Social Worker whose path began in Hong Kong with a lifelong immersion in dance and mind-body explorations. Her time conducting post-doctoral research at The University of Hong Kong and serving as the Company Wellness Counselor for the Hong Kong Ballet allowed her to dive deeper into the science behind embodiment and healing, working alongside people navigating mental health challenges, neurodegenerative conditions, and the unique demands of elite artistry. This journey led her to lecture on the intersection of arts, dance science, and social work in universities. Coming from a cross-cultural background, she has spent years supporting both Chinese-speaking communities and international movers, blending creative movement and Eastern wisdom with traditional mental health care. Her practice provides tailored, holistic support that aligns with NDIS and healthcare frameworks, alongside specialized coaching for performing artists navigating optimal performance. Melody focuses on creating a gentle, compassionate, grounded space centered on the here-and-now experience. She offers online and in-person therapy, group workshops, lectures, and research collaborations.
