Description

I currently work  with adults who are navigating major life transitions.  Through the process we discover hidden strengths and challenges while tapping the wisdom of the body moving.  I integrate Dance, Authentic Movement, Bartenieff Fundamentals and other DMT  nethods to assist the client with daily life skills and integrating the body, mind and spirit.  I have more than 45 years experience as a Dance Movement Therapist with both groups and individuals from babies and families through frail elderly.  I have 40 years practice and teaching with Authentic Movement including offering Retreats.  I have 35 years experience with Physical Storytelling which is a practice co-created with my partner Dr. Steve Harvey.  I have taught Internationally including working within several University Programmes.

I use a variety of options in supervision. Case reporting is one. I use Physical Storytelling, Authentic Movement as well as a form called Intervision. In group supervision I encourage supervisees to really think through there bodies while moving and I ground this through the lenses of Laban, Bartenieff and Kestenberg movement systems. Improvisation strongly informs my supervision approach supported by a framework that synthesizes humanistic, developmental, and metaphoric (aesthetic) understanding.
